Our End-to-End IT Asset Disposition Process
A Secure and Effective Partnership
We provide a secure, compliant, and transparent service designed to ensure your retired IT assets are handled responsibly while ensuring absolute data security and environmental compliance.
Our End-to-End Process
Your Bespoke ITAD Service Agreement
Our partnership begins with understanding your unique ITAD requirements. We work with you to create a detailed processing document that clarifies our service level agreement (SLA). This defines everything from data destruction standards and recycling policies to your desired commercial model and reporting needs. This ensures our service is perfectly tailored to your organisation's policies and goals.
Secure & Transparent Collections
Once an agreement is in place, we manage the entire logistics process. Our secure collection service, using trusted partners and GPS-tracked vehicles, ensures your IT assets are protected from the moment they leave your site. Every shipment is assigned a unique ID, and we provide a detailed collection note detailing quantities and categories and all other requested information about the equipment collected.
Audited Receiving & Component Tracking
Upon arrival at our secure ITAD facility, each IT asset is individually audited. We record serial numbers and specifications. If any data bearing devices are removed, they are logged as 'child assets' linked to the original 'parent' device. This meticulous, transparent process guarantees a complete chain of custody for every single component.
Data Destruction & Circular Economy
Our core priorities are data security and value recovery. Every data-bearing device undergoes a certified data erasure process compliant with the highest industry standards (e.g., NIST 800-88 or an alternative standard if preferred). Once sanitised, our technicians grade each asset. This data-driven approach ensures we can maximise your contribution to the circular economy and prolong the lifespan of 'still useful' equipment.
Responsible & Compliant Recycling
For IT assets that have no further value, we adhere to a strict zero-landfill policy. We work with certified downstream partners to ensure maximum recovery of materials, anything that cannot be recovered will be recycled in an environmentally responsible manner, fully compliant with WEEE regulations. We provide full documentation, including Waste Transfer Notes, to support your corporate social responsibility and compliance requirements.
Transparent Reporting
Upon completion of a shipment, we provide comprehensive documentation including all Certificates of Data Destruction & Recycling. This details the final outcome for every single asset and its components.

Meet Our Team
Alex Baker
Head of ITAD
I have over two decades of experience in IT Asset Disposition (ITAD), working at every level of the industry. During this time I have had the opportunity to provide essential support to some of the world's largest hyperscale IT businesses. My passion lies in project execution with a strong focus on regulatory compliance and industry standards, whilst always aiming to exceed client expectations.
I have managed teams completing complex data centre decommissioning projects globally, some with very restrictive timescales and work environments, requiring very creative problem solving along the way. These skills have afforded me opportunities to build ITAD facilities internationally in response to expanding client footprints.
The key benefit of all of this experience is the ability to fully understand what clients actually need from an ITAD provider and offer unparalleled flexibility. Rather than dealing with salespeople reading from a script, you’re talking to the people who have done all of the hard work before.
Outside of work, I like to keep myself entertained by playing the guitar—I think I have a dozen at the time of writing this! I have 2 dogs and a family that I love going on long walks with, and I take as many opportunities as possible to indulge in some photography. Sports are another passion of mine, particularly golf and football (I’ve been a Liverpool fan since I was a kid).
Please get in touch if you would like to discuss any ITAD related challenges you have on 020 4631 3568 or email me at alex.baker@itinstock.com.
Mick Payne
Managing Director
My beard might not rival Alex’s, but I like to think my 15+ years in the used IT sector make up for it. I’ve spent my career immersed in enterprise IT, focusing on buying, selling, and managing large-scale IT operations. Along the way, I developed a strong understanding of the complexities involved in IT asset disposition and quickly realized how critical it is for businesses of all sizes—both operationally and strategically.
ITAD remains an often-misunderstood area. Many businesses are unaware of the risks of poor ITAD practices or the opportunities for operational efficiency and sustainability that a well-run program can bring.
This is where my work with Alex, a true subject matter expert, comes in. Together, we help clients navigate ITAD with confidence, dispelling myths and ensuring that every stage of their IT lifecycle is managed safely, efficiently, and responsibly. I bring a practical, hands-on perspective, grounded in years of enterprise IT experience.
My goal is always the same: to make ITAD understandable, actionable, and valuable for our clients. Outside of IT, I like to think of myself as someone who approaches challenges with curiosity, pragmatism, and maybe a little humour—though I’ll never quite compete with Alex in the beard department.
Please get in touch if you would like to discuss Alex's beard, cricket or Arsenal probably winning the league this year, maybe something ITAD related also on 020 4631 3572 or email me at mick.payne@itinstock.com.
