Symbol's LS4278 handheld barcode scanner utilizes Bluetooth wireless personal area networking (WPAN) to improve productivity and mobility in heavy retail and light industrial settings. The LS4278 barcode reader withstands drops of up to 5 feet and its base unit provides reliable charging through hundreds of thousands of insertions.

A single, universal cable connects the base unit of the LS4278 barcode scanner to any computing environment. Scanning up to 32,000 barcodes per charge, the handheld reader exhibits long battery life. This particular model is also multi point-to-point compatible, allowing up to three LS4278 wireless scanners to utilize the same base unit, lowering the total cost of ownership for a complete scanning solution.

The USB Interface Kits can charge via USB, the power supply and line cord only speed the charging process.
