Frequently Asked Questions

Are Fujitsu storage enclosures compatible with my existing PRIMERGY servers?
Fujitsu ETERNUS JX40 S2 and JX60 S2 enclosures are designed specifically for use with certified Fujitsu PRIMERGY servers via a supported SAS RAID controller. Compatible controllers include the Fujitsu PRAID EP420e, the Fujitsu PSAS CP400e SAS Controller, and LSI MegaRAID SAS9285CV-8e or SAS9286CV-8e RAID controllers. ETERNUS DX drive enclosures connect directly to the DX controller enclosure via its rear drive interface ports and are matched to their respective DX controller generation. When you order from ITinStock, our team will confirm compatibility against your specific PRIMERGY server and controller model before dispatch.

Can I mix different drive types in a Fujitsu storage enclosure?
Yes. The ETERNUS JX40 S2 and JX60 S2 both support hybrid drive configurations, allowing SAS, Nearline SAS HDDs, and SSDs to coexist within the same enclosure. This means you can run high-performance SAS SSDs for latency-sensitive workloads alongside cost-effective SATA drives for bulk data and backups, all within a single shelf. For ETERNUS DX arrays, you can also mix 2.5” and 3.5” drive enclosure types within the same system, combining SSD and online drives in 2.5” enclosures with large-capacity nearline drives in 3.5” enclosures. Simply speak with our account managers at ITinStock to configure your enclosure with the setup required.

What testing do you do for refurbished Fujitsu enclosures?
All refurbished Fujitsu storage enclosures from ITinStock are thoroughly tested prior to dispatch. Our engineers inspect and verify all drive bays, controllers, redundant power supply units, and cooling systems to ensure the unit meets its original performance specifications. Each enclosure ships with warranty coverage included as standard, with extended warranty options available for organisations that require longer coverage periods or enhanced support levels. We are confident in the quality of every unit we supply, which stems from rigorous testing prior to delivery.

Does ITinStock offer warranty on refurbished IT equipment?
Yes. All our refurbished IT equipment - servers, storage, networking and components, are thoroughly inspected and tested before dispatch to make sure they function as intended. In the event that any equipment develops a fault or arrives damaged through no fault of the customer, we offer a 3-year warranty on all refurbished equipment covering repair or replacement. Please speak with our account managers and customer service team for full warranty terms and conditions.
