Other Networking Switch

Brocade, Lenovo, IBM, F5 and Force10 are just some other networking switches we have to fit your business requirements. Networking switches intelligently direct data traffic between multiple devices, and those featured on this page are simply those from other brands that still provide an exemplary job of organising this data transference.

At ITinStock, we stock a range of high-quality new and refurbished networking equipment from additional leading vendors, including Lenovo, F5 BIG-IP and Extreme Networks, amongst others.

Benefits of Our Other Networking Equipment

We feature a huge range of networking switches from alternative brands. Lenovo ThinkSystem RackSwitches are purpose-built to integrate with Lenovo ThinkSystem servers, running Lenovo's Cloud Network OS (CNOS) with full Layer 2 and Layer 3 support. Extreme Networks ExtremeSwitching X-Series switches take a different approach, running ExtremeXOS, with SummitStack-V stacking of up to 8 units over standard 10GbE cabling.

F5 BIG-IP is an Application Delivery Controller (ADC) that manages how traffic is distributed across multiple servers, handling load balancing, SSL offloading, application firewalling, and traffic optimisation at Layers 4 to 7 of the network stack.

Our dedicated hardware specialists make sure the networking equipment is restored to full working condition and usability, perhaps with just a few light scuffs or markings on the casings. With so many variants available from us at ITinStock, you can be sure to find a suitable networking switch at just a fraction of the price of brand-new.

Why Choose Refurbished Networking Equipment from ITinStock?

At ITinStock, we are happy to discuss any bespoke configurations for your networking setup, whether that's a specific port count, uplink speed, or stacking configuration across any brand. Each piece of our refurbished networking equipment undergoes rigorous testing, in which all ports are verified for connectivity and throughput, firmware is checked and updated where required, and each unit is reset to factory defaults before dispatch. We can deliver quickly to the UK and worldwide using our courier partners. Our expert support team are on hand to help with any pre-sales questions and compatibility queries you may have.

Complement Your Network Setup

Maximise your networking investment with these complementary IT components:

  • Rack Servers We stock refurbished rack servers from all major vendors, including Lenovo, Dell, HPE, and Cisco, to pair with the networking equipment in this range.
  • Network Transceivers Take a look at compatible SFP, SFP+, QSFP+, and QSFP28 transceivers and DAC cables for copper and fibre connectivity at 1GbE, 10GbE, 25GbE, 40GbE, and 100GbE speeds.
  • UPS Systems Protect your network investment with an Uninterruptible Power Supply to ensure continuous connectivity during power disruptions.

Frequently Asked Questions

What networking brands do you stock in your other networking switches?

This category covers refurbished networking equipment from brands not covered by our dedicated brand pages. Currently that includes Lenovo ThinkSystem RackSwitches (NE0152T, NE1032, NE1032T, NE2572, and NE10032 models, covering 1GbE management through to 100GbE data centre switching), F5 BIG-IP Application Delivery Controllers (iSeries i2000 through i15000, and rSeries r2000 through r10000, for enterprise load balancing and application security), and Extreme Networks ExtremeSwitching X-Series switches (X440-G2, X450-G2, X460-G2, X670-G2, and X690 campus and aggregation switches). If you are looking for Cisco, HPE Aruba, Dell, Juniper, Arista, or Mellanox switches specifically, please visit our dedicated brand category pages. If you need a brand or model not currently listed, contact our team and we will check availability.

What is an Application Delivery Controller, and how is an F5 BIG-IP different from a network switch?

A network switch connects devices together and directs traffic between them based on MAC addresses and IP routing. An Application Delivery Controller (ADC) like the F5 BIG-IP works at a higher level: rather than routing traffic between devices, it sits in front of a group of servers and decides how incoming requests should be distributed across them. This is called load balancing. If one server becomes overloaded or fails, the BIG-IP redirects traffic to the remaining healthy servers automatically, keeping the application available. Beyond load balancing, the BIG-IP also handles SSL offloading (decrypting and re-encrypting HTTPS traffic on behalf of the servers, reducing their CPU load), web application firewalling, global server load balancing across multiple data centres, and TCP connection optimisation. In short, a network switch keeps your devices talking to each other, while an F5 BIG-IP keeps your applications fast, available, and secure for the end users accessing them.

Which Extreme Networks switches support stacking, and can I mix different X-Series models?

Extreme Networks SummitStack and SummitStack-V stacking is supported across the X440-G2, X450-G2, X460-G2, X670-G2, and X770 series, with up to 8 switches per stack. SummitStack-V uses standard 10GbE SFP+ ports for stacking rather than proprietary cables, and supports stack distances of up to 40 km over fibre optics, making it suitable for building-to-building or cross-campus stacking scenarios that would be impossible with most other vendors' proprietary stacking cables. Cross-model stacking between different X-Series switches is supported via SummitStack-V, provided all units in the stack are running the same version of ExtremeXOS. For example, X440-G2 switches can be stacked with X460-G2, X670-G2, and X770 switches in the same logical stack. However, it is important to confirm ExtremeXOS version compatibility across all units before mixing models in a stack. Our team at ITinStock can advise on compatibility before you order.

How do Lenovo ThinkSystem RackSwitches integrate with Lenovo servers?

Lenovo ThinkSystem RackSwitches are tested and validated as part of Lenovo's ThinkSystem reference architectures, meaning they are specifically designed to work alongside Lenovo ThinkSystem and ThinkAgile servers with minimal integration effort. Management of both servers and switches is consolidated through Lenovo XClarity Administrator, giving IT teams a single interface for provisioning, monitoring, firmware updates, and fault management across their entire Lenovo data centre infrastructure. The switches run Lenovo's Cloud Network Operating System (CNOS), which supports REST API and Python scripting for automation, as well as integration with VMware vRealize and Nutanix Prism for VM-aware network provisioning. Most ThinkSystem RackSwitch models are also ONIE-bootable, allowing teams who prefer an alternative NOS to install Cumulus Linux or SONiC instead. For organisations running a mixed-vendor environment, Lenovo RackSwitches also interoperate fully with other vendors' hardware using standard protocols.

Does ITinStock offer warranty on refurbished IT equipment?

Yes. All our refurbished IT equipment - servers, storage, networking and components, are thoroughly inspected and tested before dispatch to make sure they function as intended. In the event that any equipment develops a fault or arrives damaged through no fault of the customer, we offer a 3-year warranty on all refurbished equipment covering repair or replacement. Please speak with our account managers and customer service team for full warranty terms and conditions.
