HP NC553m Dual Port 10Gb FlexFabric Mezzanine Adapter 617727-001 613431-B21
The NC553m FlexFabric 10Gb mezzanine adapter supports Virtual Connect Flex-10 technology, enabling each 10Gb port to be divided into four physical NICs for optimised bandwidth management in virtualised servers. It separates Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) and Ethernet I/O when connected to Convergence Enhanced Ethernet (CEE) switches, ensuring efficient network routing.
Designed for improved CPU efficiency, it supports full protocol offload for iSCSI storage, making it ideal for virtualization workloads and compute-intensive applications. This adapter combines high-performance network and storage connectivity, reducing cost and complexity while maximising BladeSystem server scalability.
Key features include dual 10Gb ports delivering up to 40Gb full duplex per adapter, hardware acceleration and offloads for TCP/IP, TCP Offload Engine (TOE), FCoE, and iSCSI, IEEE 802.1p QoS, 802.3x flow control, 802.3ap 10GBase-KR, jumbo frame support, and compatibility with VMware NetQueue and Microsoft VMQ.
The NC553m is compatible with HP BladeSystem c-Class ProLiant and Integrity Server Blades, various HP storage arrays including EVA, MSA, P2000, XP series, and supports multiple HP and Cisco blade switch modules. Its integrated SERDES reduces cost and power for backplane configurations.
This adapter delivers exceptional network throughput and latency performance, optimising next-generation data centre environments with converged network connectivity.
